Bio

Jack is a multi-faceted musician and educator with a strong background in woodwind performance. Based just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, he’s an active performer and advocate for music education.

Like many small children, Jack’s parents had him take piano lessons. After a few years, he bargained with his mom to let him play the saxophone instead. Since then, he’s performed around the world on multiple woodwind instruments and shared the stage with many incredible artists.

Jack’s many performing credits include stage bands, symphony orchestras, and broadway-style pits. He’s been on stage with jazz greats such as drummer Carl Allen (Freddie Hubbard), saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band), and bassist Philip Kuehn (Jon Batiste). He’s also appeared on local television for productions on BYUtv, and performed in a backup orchestra for the world-famous rock band KANSAS.

As an educator, Jack has worked with students all over Utah. He’s taught private lessons, worked as a clinician for school bands and orchestras, and coached chamber ensembles that receive superior ratings at State-level festivals.

He currently serves as the marketing director at Summerhays Music Center in Murray, UT, and is a member of the Deseret Symphony Orchestra.
